A Bit About Me

I remember the first thing I ever attempted to write. I was 6 years old and had recently seen Jurassic Park for the first time. My tale was about a girl who time-traveled back to the Jurassic period. It was called Back in the Age of Time, a title that means absolutely nothing. Well, that book has since been published in 3 different languages. Kidding! It is in my parents' storage building, buried beneath my 4-H Club honorable mentions.

I have always enjoyed writing, though, and I am just tickled to be able to do it for a living. I've taught English for years. There have also been many random jobs before that which led me to the realization that I am happiest when I get to create.

If you go to the portfolio page, you can take a look at my writing samples. They include magazine articles, short stories, and marketing work. My CV is also included, but you might have more fun reading my blog (forthcoming) about jobs I've had that have been criticized as "not CV-worthy."
